Hello there, I'm Chandra and I have been a photographer for over fifteen years. I went to college and studied Portrait, Commercial and the history of photography. Having kids landed me in a part-time job working for a chain photo-studio which wasn't "real" photography to me. By that I mean there was no sense of control of f.stop and aperture settings or direction of light. I was always taking pictures for other people and eventually that led me to opening my own business. I have had a portrait studio for the last ten years and have recently followed my true passion which is Fine-Art and Fine-Art portraiture.
I love to use my skills in capturing something the way I see it and then adding in my own flare with Photoshop and presentation elements. During my process of work I pay attention to what flows into me naturally and look at each image individually. I love textures and use those to create an ethereal feeling to each piece. I print my work in a variety of ways including Giclee papers, Metal Prints and 3-dimensional pieces as well as using classic Matte or Silk papers. I love vintage frames to pair with printed images.
Working with people is rewarding for me. My ideal client is someone that is wanting to express a unique side of themselves and allow me to interpret that with my creativity. The results allow for individual and unique pieces of work for each client.
I believe there are many amazing photographers in the world, I admire many. I also believe that as a professional photographer or artist our field is ever-changing and that offering more than an average portrait experience is where my heart is. I want you to feel like something amazing was created for you and that no one will have anything like it.
I love working with women primarily because I feel like the expression of all the layers we have as women can be best captured by adding in elements that are personal to you through my expression in art. Your experiences are unique and your own and talking about them, planning how we will photograph you from location to wardrobe and then allowing me to add in elements about you is the best way for me to create a unique piece of art that is truly "All You"
Id love to hear from you and create some beautiful art together.
